Lily from AT&T Puts Rumors to Rest, Confirms Long-Held Suspicions

Milana Vayntrub’s acting career has been marked by versatility and comedic brilliance, spanning from her early days on YouTube to her prominent roles in television and film.

Her acting journey began with a guest appearance on the iconic medical drama “ER” in 1995, marking the start of a career filled with memorable performances. Teaming up with Stevie Nelson, Vayntrub co-founded the YouTube comedy channel Live Prude Girls, where they crafted a series of hilarious shorts that garnered attention and acclaim.

Their channel’s success led to recognition on NewMediaRockstars’ Top 100 Channels countdown, solidifying Vayntrub’s status as a rising talent in the comedy world. She transitioned to mainstream media with small but impactful roles in projects like “Life Happens,” “Silicon Valley,” and various CollegeHumor videos.

From 2013 to 2016, Vayntrub captivated audiences as Lily Adams, the witty and charming saleswoman in a series of AT&T commercials. Her portrayal of Lily became iconic, earning her widespread recognition and acclaim.

In 2015, Vayntrub showcased her acting chops in the Yahoo! Screen series “Other Space,” created by Paul Feig, where she portrayed the quirky Tina Shukshin. The following year, she joined the ensemble cast of Feig’s “Ghostbusters” reboot, showcasing her comedic prowess alongside fellow “Other Space” alumni.

Between 2016 and 2017, Vayntrub graced the screen in the acclaimed drama series “This Is Us,” portraying the complex character Sloane Sandburg. Her performance garnered praise for its depth and emotional resonance.

In a significant career move, Vayntrub was cast as the lead role of Marvel Comics superheroine Squirrel Girl in the New Warriors television pilot for Freeform. Though the series ultimately didn’t move forward, Vayntrub’s portrayal of Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise and the scripted podcast “Marvel’s Squirrel Girl: The Unbeatable Radio Show” showcased her talent and dedication to the role.

In addition to her television work, Vayntrub starred in the interactive streaming series “That Moment When” as Jill, further demonstrating her versatility as an actress.
