A man who has gone on an extreme body modification journey has shocked fans by sharing a throwback photo of himself.
Anthony Loffredo, a Frenchman, has gone viral for his extreme transformation into a ‘black alien.’
Throughout his journey, he’s had parts of his nose, ears, top lip, and fingers removed, and has even contemplated amputating a leg.
The drastic change becomes even more startling when compared to his before photo, which he shared on Instagram.
Reacting to the before image, one fan writes: “You look way cooler now.”
Others have taken to the comments and questioned Loffredo on why he’s made such a drastic transformation, with one follower asking: “You really were handsome, why did you think you weren’t?”
“Live your truth but you were absolutely stunning in your younger years!” says a second.
Somebody else writes: “You didn’t need to do all that, you were already beautiful.”
Loffredo, a tattoo artist and model, acknowledges that his bold look has led to obstacles.
In an interview with LADbible, the body mod fan revealed: “If I want to eat at a restaurant, sometimes the server says I can’t eat on the terrace.”
On an episode of the Club 113 podcast, he elaborated further, saying ‘It’s a fight every day.’
He admitted: “I can’t find a job, there’s lots of negative stuff. It could be positive because you feel better, but you have to know there’s also a dark side.
“I’m a normal guy, I work, I have a family… I like being looked at like a normal guy with a job, with a family, who has a friend, girlfriend, all of that. That’s what makes me normal.”
Loffredo seems eager to continue his transformation journey, having previously shared some bold aspirations.
In an Instagram live Q&A, he revealed that he once dreamt of removing his skin and replacing it with metal, according to the Mirror.
Interestingly, despite his extreme body modifications, Loffredo admits, like many of his followers, that he was a “very sexy guy” before his transformation.
In a Channel 4 documentary, Loffredo reflected, “I’m still the same person! Same heart! But this isn’t my real body anymore.”
Posting a side-by-side of his appearance at 25 and 35, he wrote: “Men call me crazy, but science has not yet taught us whether madness is the sublime of intelligence… if all depth doesn’t stem from a disease of thought.”
