A vehicle drove by a distressed dog on a rural road in the Evan’s Creek Mountains. The dog became quite angry and refused to let anyone touch him since he was so hungry. The dog was later given the name “Bear.”
In order to obtain some help, the driver took some images of Bear and posted them on social media. When Amanda learnt about Bear, she put her plans on wait and decided to help him right away.
Despite her family’s warnings about the risks, Amanda and her friend Dylan set out to find the dog. After hours of searching, they located Bear, but he was too scared to approach. They tried using food and various methods to lure him, but nothing worked. As night fell, Amanda and Dylan had to head home but returned the next day to continue their search.
The next day, they located Bear in the same location, and after several more unsuccessful attempts, the two devised a fresh approach to draw Bear. Amanda decided to “play it 𝓭𝓮𝓪𝓭” and lie down on the ground to persuade the dog that she needed help.
After Amanda had remained immobilized on the ground for a few hours, something happened that touched the hearts of numerous animal lovers around the world.
Bear approached Amanda and sniffed her for 20 minutes before approaching, presuming she required assistance. The dog soon lost interest and went, but Amanda persisted.
Bear turned and sat down next to Amanda after a few moment, as if to let her know he was with her.
After a few more hours, Amanda was able to win Bear’s confidence and convince him that he just had her best interests in mind. Bear accompanied Amanda to the car where they immediately drove to the vet.
Bear was treated and given care, and once he recovered his strength, a family opted to adopt him a short while later. The dog is no longer forced to live on the streets because he now has a loving family and a place of his own.
