Children often say what’s on their minds, sometimes without realizing how their words might affect others.

Whether it’s a simple comment or a direct confession, what kids say can sometimes reveal more than anyone expected.

The Story:

My 8-year-old daughter gave me a letter she wrote for “Grandma.” The thing is, she’s never met my mom because we had a big fight years ago, and I never talked about her. The letter described memories I had forgotten—like picnics at the park and baking cookies together. I asked my daughter how she knew these things, and she just said, “I remember.”

This really affected me, so I contacted my mom after all these years. Now, we’re trying to rebuild our relationship, all because of that letter.
