Three people died in a terrible car accident in Gainesville, Georgia, in the spring of 2017. They were 23-year-old Hannah Simmons, her 9-month-old daughter Alannah, and Hannah’s best friend. The crash shocked everyone in the area, and Hannah’s family and friends are still in shock.
Following the accident, a picture taken by a witness, Anisa Gannon (19), would give Hannah’s family and friends a glimmer of hope. Anisa had gone to the scene to take a picture to show her boss why she was going to be late to work. But it wasn’t until much later that she saw something interesting about the picture.
It looks like a bright flash of light is coming down from the sky and shining on the place where Hannah and her daughter died. Hannah’s family was moved to tears when they saw the picture that Anisa felt compelled to share with them.
Others have said that the light might just be Anisa’s car windscreen reflecting it. But Hannah’s family has found comfort in the picture, seeing it as proof that their loved ones have gone to heaven. Jodi Simmons, Hannah’s mother, thinks that the picture shows a “pathway to heaven” and that it has helped her deal with the disaster.
