Almost No One Can Remember What This Popular 1950’s Invention Was Used For. Can You?

There are inventions that are made all the time, but some of them are forgotten because they aren’t used on a regular basis.

Some inventions are so unclear that no one knows how to use them when they are created. An image is seen online with an odd creation from the 1950s.

No one seems to know what the original use was for, and once researchers found out its intention, they were surprised. There are about 1 in 10,000 people who remember what the invention was made for in the ’50s.

It’s actually a popular item that was used in most businesses and some homes. The machine in question has a circular part on top with cords that are attached. There are small items added to the cords.

It’s an electric object as it has a power cord. The machine is a wave machine that was used to give people a permanent. Marjorie Joyner holds the patent to the machine.

She owned a beauty salon in Chicago and wanted to find a way to make it easier and faster to give perms.

However, it would often tangle the hair and burn the hair if left on too long, so it didn’t really get the warm welcome that it might have received if it had been thought out a little better.
