Rolling Thunder held its first demonstration back in 1988. This group seeks to bring full accountability for prisoners of war and missing in action service members of all U.S. wars. Every Memorial Day, they ride their bikes on a route through Washington, D.C. Staff Sgt. Tim Chambers, aka The Saluting Marine, has been going to this demonstration for years now. The uniform-clad man stands on his feet for the whole event. This video from 2012 shows a touching moment between Tim and a female soldier. It was a small gesture by the biker, but it was enough to bring tears to my eyes.
