Mom Is Outraged After Restaurant Added $50 “Bad Parent” Surcharge

A recent dining experience at Toccoa River Restaurant in Blue Ridge, Georgia, has left one couple, Lyndsey and Kyle Landmann, in shock and prompted them to share their story with the world. The couple visited the restaurant with their three young boys and four other families, totaling eleven children aged between three and eight years old. Kyle Landmann expressed his disappointment with the experience by leaving a Google review two weeks ago. He detailed the events, writing, “The owner came out and told me he was adding $50 to my bill because of my children’s behavior. My kids watched a tablet until the food arrived, ate their food, and my wife took them outside while I waited and paid the bill.”

Lyndsey and Kyle, like many parents, are sensitive to ensuring their children behave appropriately in public places. They insist that their children were well-behaved during their dining experience at Toccoa River Restaurant, making the unexpected surcharge even more baffling.
