In a dazzling celebration of holiday creativity, Prunty Farms, a fifth-generation family farm in South Dakota, has captured hearts nationwide with an extraordinary display of tractor snow art. Using a John Deere 6400, farmer Dan Prunty etched the words “Merry Christmas” in perfect cursive across 10 inches of snow, an effort beautifully filmed by his son, Adam Prunty, using a drone.
The video, aptly titled “Deere Tracks,” has become a viral sensation, showcasing the Prunty family’s ingenuity and festive spirit.

Behind the Scenes of “Deere Tracks”
Adam Prunty shared insights into the creative process in an interview with the Argus Leader. “I drove it first with the tractor, and then I had my dad drive it again while I filmed with a drone,” Adam explained. The intricate lettering was done freehand, a testament to the precision and artistry of the Prunty duo.
The breathtaking footage provides an aerial view of the snow-covered fields, where the delicate curves of the words emerge like a festive masterpiece. Capturing the creation from above adds a unique dimension, turning a simple farm activity into an awe-inspiring visual experience.
