Toronto Pub Shooting Leaves 12 Injured, Police Searching for 3 Suspects

On Friday, March 7, a mass shooting at Piper Arms Pub in Toronto left 12 people injured, including six victims with gunshot wounds. Fortunately, all injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening.

Incident Details

The shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. near the Scarborough Town Centre mall, according to Toronto police. Initially, reports indicated 11 victims, but authorities later confirmed 12 individuals had been affected. The victims, ranging in age from 20 to 50 years old, were immediately transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Surveillance footage captured three masked male suspects arriving at the pub. One of them carried an assault rifle, while the other two were armed with handguns. According to Superintendent Paul McIntyre, the suspects opened fire indiscriminately, causing chaos as patrons scrambled for cover. The aftermath left broken glass, bloodied tables, and terrified witnesses at the scene.

Police Response and Investigation

When police arrived, they found several victims lying on the floor, while others remained in their seats despite being wounded. Authorities have since launched a manhunt for the three suspects, who remain at large as of Saturday morning.

Superintendent McIntyre expressed shock at the incident, stating that “by the grace of God,” no lives were lost in the attack.

Toronto police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
